


The lodge has its own private 2,000 hectare game viewing area and it also shares a further 10,000 hectares with a few other top quality lodges, including pristine areas of open grassland, rich forest and dry river valleys.
Savanna lodge offers the family a memorable and exciting big game experience and a fascinating insight into local tribal culture and customs of the Shangaan people. The guides at Savanna are professional and extremely well qualified who are experienced and knowledgeable on all aspects of the bush. Sabi Sand is regarded as having some of the best leopard viewing in the world and in addition to these magnificent creatures you are likely to also see lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, cheetah, hippo and crocodile plus a multitude of general game and over 450 bird species may be viewed from the comfort and safety of your open game drive vehicle or when heading out on a walking safari.
The lodge has eight suites each of which is a permanent structure positioned to ensure privacy, and all have en suite bathrooms, stylish décor, proper beds and hand embroidered cotton linen, ensuring complete comfort. The Savanna Suite which is particularly suitable for families has two separate en suite bedrooms separated by a large lounge and dining room, all under thatch. Private meals will be served in the Savanna Suite if requested, with a barman/waiter in attendance.
The main guest area of the lodge has a spacious lounge, a dining room in which delicious meals are served; or alternatively your family can dine in the outside semi circular boma under a huge star filled African sky.
The lounge area overlooks a waterhole where animals frequently come down to drink. The soft floodlighting during dinner and at night will enable you to so enjoy sightings of nocturnal activity from the lodge in the evenings.
