Lebala Camp

Hidden in the Southern portion of the expansive Kwando wilderness in Botswana is Lebala Camp. Lebala Camp is situated on a peninsula of land jutting into the heart of the Linyanti Delta that surrounds the camp.

This delta comprises of large seasonal floodplains, hundreds of miles of rolling savannah, as well as diverse forests which include mopane trees, huge old baobabs and acacia; all of which attracts a very large number and wide range of animals. In addition to excellent game viewing opportunities children can learn about ecology, tracking skills, bush craft, and survival in the wild.

Children very much enjoy the additional safari activities offered at Kwando such as spoor casting, nature cards, learning how to track animals and ID animals from dung, bush survival and much more… At Lebala there is also the option to for your offspring to enjoy the pool closely supervised by trained staff whilst you enjoy a relaxing siesta or game walk.

After enjoying a fun filled day full of memories and new knowledge the camp fire is the natural draw in camp for eliciting adventure stories, roasting marshmallows, laughter, and warm memories and stories from new found friends to take home.

In addition to game drives, boat rides, and mekoro trips children also have the option to enjoy activities like: Butterfly catching using catch, ID, and release tactics, Making bush jewellery, or just colouring in and doing some of the fun exercises.

These activities are attractive to Parents too, as it allows them to retreat to their tents and have a leisurely shower or siesta without worrying, and being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of a camp in the middle of paradise.

Lebala camp is a paradise for families who wish their safari to really get close to the African bush whilst retaining a comfortable and relaxing base of camp.
