If you are an active family with teenagers early twenties, Zambia and Zimbabwe are best for walking safaris, open vehicles, canoeing and rafting. These activities are exciting yet not strenuous. Many camps are small so your family can sometimes take over a complete camp. For something a little less active any country would be suitable.

If your children are babies – 8 years, South Africa is best with the most substantial and luxurious accommodation, excellent babysitting and malaria free reserves.
