Styles of camps and lodges to suit your family safari holiday.

Tailormaking your safari means we can book the right style of accommodation for you. Wherever you stay on an Africa Exclusive safari you will always have expert guides, good comfort, proper beds, en-suite, wc and shower, great food and just a few other twists…

You can stay in anything from this a five star lodge in the Kruger to a private mobile tented camp in the Serengeti

In some places we can arrange family accommodation where a family of four or six can be all together under one roof. This is ideal for families with younger children.

Robins House and River Lodge in Zambia are examples of this type of larger lodge.

There are some other wonderful examples of family accommodation,Elsa’s Kopje in Kenya, Savanna Camp South Africa, Vumbura Plains in Botswana, and Wolwedans Dune Lodge in Namibia.

Much of the accommodation on safari is tented, though in Africa a “tent” is a very different animal. They are usually set off the ground on a raised deck, with oceans of space and every comfort.

Africa Excusive prefers to use small camps and lodges and in some cases one or two families can take over an entire camp. Most places we use are on private reserves or in remote parts of National Parks.

Or, we can provide a support team to set up your own private camp to shadow the the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti.

Or to take a four day walk with Masai guides and camels up the Rift Valley toward Lake Tukann.

The food is often unbelievably good and special diets are easily catered for. We can set up a bush breakfast on the Zambezi or by the waterfall.

A four course dinner under the stars with the sounds of Africa all around you is unforgettable.

Then, when you leave, the usual means of transport is a well maintained small plane taking you straight to the next part of your adventure.
