Imagine a bushwalk along the winding Luangwa River watching giraffe, elephant and antelope coming to drink while a pride of noisy yawning hippos cavort in mid stream. Or drifting silently down the wide Zambezi River in a boat or canoe at sunset as a hundred elephant emerge from the floodplains to splash down and play in the refreshing water. No-one else around, just your family and a brilliant guide with Africa all to yourselves.

Zambia is perfect for a “last family holiday”. The uniquely wide range of activities are fine for anyone in reasonable health and enable you to enjoy the wildlife and scenery in freedom.

The South Luangwa National Park has some of the best walking opportunities in Africa. The Lower Zambezi is simply unmissable. The helicopter ride into the Busanga Plains teeming with antelope herds and tree climbing lions is something you will never forget. Then of course you have Victoria Falls with the mile wide waterfall, sundowner cruises, white water rafting, elephant back safaris and even microlighting across the falls.
